Our Advocacy Actions help serve to track and promote legislation and policies that enhance medical-surgical nurses and quality care across the health care industry, including hospitals, outpatient settings, in homes, via telemedicine and other non-traditional settings.

For patient safety, AMSN puts nurses first. Today in a regulatory comment, AMSN advised the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration to protect nurse safety during COVID-19 by supporting CDC-based safety standards in workplaces, and by supporting the engagement of med-surg nurses in local safety plans and procedures.
