AMSN first spoke out on issues of DEI with an anti-racism pledge in June 2020. We committed to doing more and we have been working to make that happen. I wanted to provide an update on the work we have been doing and our next steps. Before I do that, though, I thought I would share some data on why this work remains critically important for AMSN.

We have officially said goodbye to 2020. It is a year that will not be forgotten, and while it was a very difficult year, I find myself looking for the silver lining as we move into 2021.

Today on National Transgender Remembrance Day (November 20), I would like to talk to you about taking care of transgender affirmation surgical patients.

It certainly has been an interesting year. Covid-19 has dominated our lives both personally and professionally. We have seen changes to the way we gather, socialize with friends and family, learn or teach, and how we celebrate and mourn.
