AMSN News

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:

In 2014, the Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board and the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) collaborated to create the Care Coordination and Transition Management Certification Program (CCCTM).

MSNCB has been evaluating the program since August 2019 and is today announcing that this program is being transferred to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Accordingly, effective October 31, 2020, MSNCB will no longer administer the CCCTM certification examinations. As part of the transfer of Certified in Care Coordination and Transition Management Program to ANCC, ANCC will be responsible for all activities related renewal of certification.

MSNCB is no longer accepting applications for certification in Care Coordination and Transition Management, testing was suspending in August 2019 for the Board of Directors of MSNCB to evaluate the overall CCCTM program. ANCC will continue to evaluate the option of re-introducing initial exam testing.

If you already hold valid MSNCB certification in Care Coordination and Transition Management, please be advised that you will be able to maintain your credential through certification renewal only. If your certification expires on or before October 31, 2020, you must submit your renewal application to MSNCB by October 15, 2020, to assure timely renewal.

Renewal applications received by MSNCB after October 15, 2020, will be returned to candidates and a full refund will be issued. If your certification expires after October 31, 2020, please contact ANCC at certification@ana.org  for more information about how to renew your certification through ANCC.

Beginning October 31, 2020, questions about verification of credentials should be directed to ANCC at certification@ana.org.

MSNCB and ANCC are working together to make the transition of this program as seamless as possible for all individuals who hold the CCCTM credential. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.
