Even though we are in the middle of summer, autumn will be here before we know it and it will be time for our annual convention. This year the convention will be held September 29-October 2 in San Antonio, Texas. 

See you in San Antonio! We are committed to having something in person, especially after having to be virtual the past two years. Unless we are told that we are unable to be together in San Antonio, you can trust that we’ll be together in some way this year.

In all honesty, AMSN's board of directors were worried. The numbers for Covid-19 infections were on the rise in Florida, the location of this year's national convention. Since our first concern was for the safety of the attendees and their families, the decision was made to make the convention 100% virtual for the second year in a row.

CEO's Corner - October 2021 What an absolutely wonderful convention. We had informative and engaging educational content, fantastic conversations and connection in the convention platform, and some community fun at our 30th anniversary painting party on Saturday evening.

As you’ve likely heard, AMSN made the difficult decision to hold its annual convention fully virtually this year for the second year in a row. It was a difficult decision and one the Board of Directors didn’t take lightly.

It is amazing to think that AMSN has been supporting and educating medical-surgical nurses for three decades.

Well, that was certainly one of the best conferences I have ever attended. Yes, I am talking about the virtual 29th Annual AMSN Convention. And yes, I am somewhat prejudiced as I served as the program planning committee chair. 

Like many things disrupted by COVID-19 in 2020, AMSN’s annual convention will no longer be an in-person event in Las Vegas, but rather a virtual event where you can attend from the comfort and safety of your own home.
